CHAVIS CHANDLER PRESENTS

OFTLOA

(Only For The Love Of Art)

Detroits own CHAVIS CHANDLER has released OFTLOA the video a week ago and it has already reached over 1,600 views! From his second mixtape Breath of Fresh Air II, Chavis isn't afraid to be versatile with his selection of tracks on "BOFAII" which makes it all the better to listen to. With his coalition with Danny Brown's Bruiser Brigade, Chavis's work ethic sets him apart from many artist and is surely the reason why I know we will be seeing more of him.. and not just in Detroit. This talented rapper/singer is coming into 2012 heavy and it's only February, can't wait to hear more from him.

"Wanting of the Unwanted"

Guess I'll just write... .... Mind blank chest full of pain. I hate that i feel like this, it was like I let it get this way, it never felt the same as before. Not wanting to blame myself but there isn't any other person that I could at this point. This is what I wanted, I wanted the truth and nothing but it, and yes it does hurt. It doesn't just hurt it fucking hurts. And holding back these tears only makes the pain worst. Wanting of the unwanted... My head hangs low.. I feel my eyes trying to release this... This feeling of being rejected in tear form but I won't let it.. I won't... I'm stronger than this.... The first tear rolls down my cheek.. slow and heavy like my heart. I stare emotionlessly into memories, now unhappy ones that will not stop ..playing over and over in my mind.. that can not be erased.. but  i must. I must forget everything.. I must forget you..

..this feeling of me being afraid to loose you when I've already lost you.

Staying fit is something I take pride in. Becoming over weight, or seeing a little pudge is a huge no no. Jogging is about the only exercise I like to participate in, the fresh air and the smell in the fall and spring is awesome... refreshing in a way.

Artist: ZelooperZ

Song Title: Listen To Me Feat. TGIFlamez

Mixtape: Coon N The Room: Eating Ramen Noodles While Watching Roots on Bootleg

Hometown: Detroit, MI

One of the youngest musical artist to rise up from Detroit, ZelooperZ sure is making his name known around the city. With a mixtape name that has caught the attention of many, ZelooperZ does not fail to please us with nice tracks and excellent producing. With bangers such as CartiAIDS and Money And Bitches I would have to say my favorite track off the mixtape has to be Listen To Me. Different from the other tracks, this one displays a softer side of the mixtape.

TGIFlamez did his thing on it and the Baby Boy scene at the end of it was pretty funny, but I expect nothing less from ZelooperZ.

Artist: Richy Marciano

Song Title: Protective Custody

Mixtape: Reflections

Hometown: Detroit, MI

The first time I've heard of Richy Marciano was when he shot me a link to his song Protective Custody on Twitter about 6 months ago. I listen to the songs when people send them to me but I have to admit that I don't really expect much from it most of the time. However, upon listing to it the first time I fell in love with the track. On repeat it went and although there are other track on the mixtape I like, Protective Custody is my all time favorite.

Livin' Good

The Mixtape

The 16 track mixtape including features from: D. Nice, Gaddy 2 Times, JFin, Richy Marciano, EuRo and Daj Loaf was no disappointment for Lewie's first mixtape. With numerous singles dropped from the 20 year old artist such as, "Lewie 2 Times", "5% Freestyle" and many others, longterm listeners have been anticipating the mixtape for a while. "Dead On Arrival" ft. Richy Marciano and "Live It Up" ft. Dej Loaf being my personal favorites, the whole mixtape was an ear grabber and something to vibe to.
